ELEVATE 2022 Annual Conference
We consider the safety of all those onsite at our ELEVATE 2022 Annual Conference our top priority. Below is an evolving resource that will continue to reflect the current standards and requirements around COVID-19.
You will be asked during the registration process to acknowledge reading the policies below, as well as our General Meeting & Event Policies.
In-Person Meetings Policy
CalSAE’s top priority for all in-person meetings is the safety and welfare of our attendees and team. Effective immediately, CalSAE is requiring proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of Johnson & Johnson) for admittance to CalSAE in-person meetings and events.
The policy is based on guidance and recommendations issued by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health authorities and is consistent with the policy established by ASAE.
CalSAE will also follow the strictest guidelines (such as masking) established by the facility hosting the event, the county department of public health in which the event is located, and/or the State of California. Registrants will be required to agree to a Personal Responsibility & Liability Waiver (see below) when registering for a meeting or event. Registrants will receive logistical information via email, including safety and prevention measures, before arrival.
All in-person registrants will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of Johnson & Johnson) on-site before entering the meeting space. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of Johnson & Johnson) will not be part of the online registration process, and CalSAE will not be maintaining any records on individuals’ vaccine status. The only exemptions to this policy will be for religious or medical reasons. Any exemptions must be pre-approved, and when granted, specific health protocols must be followed, otherwise, attendees will not be admitted. Exemptions must be requested at least two weeks in advance of the event.
We are encouraged that approximately 90% of CalSAE members are already vaccinated.
We expect to review this policy in the future and may make changes as circumstances dictate or allow.

Personal Responsibility & Liability Waiver
By attending any CalSAE event (the “event”), you voluntarily assume all risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury related to exposure to COVID-19, and release CalSAE from liability for any injury or harm that may result by attending the Event. CalSAE’s goal is to ensure a safe meeting environment. CalSAE will also follow the strictest guidance (such as masking) established by the facility hosting the event, the county department of public health in which the event is located, and/or the State of California. As such, you also agree to abide by any prevention or safety measures that CalSAE, the hotel or facility hosting the event, the county health department in which the event is located, or the State of California may have in place during the Event. You also agree not to attend the Event if you become ill, are aware that you’ve been directly exposed to the COVID-19 virus within 10 days prior to the Event, or exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus prior to or during the Event.
Venue Protocols & Policies
In compliance with California’s recent state mandate, face masks or coverings are required for all guests at all timeswhile utilizing indoor public spaces regardless of vaccination status.
